This Junior college located at Serangoon Avenue 3 witnessed the master planning of the entire site for redevelopment. The object and challenge was to plan for new facilities so that it could be built without having to relocate the staffs and students to a temporary premise. The new college accommodates the latest in college curriculum including new science and computer laboratories, library, and lecture theatres. A new sports field spectator gallery was also in the brief. The existing hilly site was preserved, accentuated by a new main block on the ridge. Good natural ventilation and lighting is enjoyed.
The eventual plan saw the redevelopment carried out in 3 phases. The new college captures the spirit and identity of its proud heritage.
